Kill Team - The Tyranid Threat on Volkus

Image
On Tuesday, albeit with a guilty delay, I was reading the articles published on Warhammer Community regarding the Grand Narrative event held in Atlanta last November. It is, of course, the most important official narrative event of the year. A sort of LARP event combined with wargaming, the results of which can even change the lore of the Warhammer universe. If you are narrative players, I encourage you to learn more about it as you will find many interesting ideas, not to mention seeing firsthand the passion that organizers and participants put into it. Personally, I am not the typical narrative player but more of a competitive player who enjoys reading the lore of the Warhammer universe. Particularly of Kill Team (in fact, I believe that almost all Warhammer stories are Kill Team stories, but it’s not the right time to delve into that - Ed.). So you can imagine how surprised I was, at least initially, when I read the last page of the Grand Narrative - Vox Locanum : Well, it seems tha...

Warhammer 40k/Kill Team - Teaser (?) Analysis from the Warhammer+ Video

Image
A few days ago, an article was published on Warhammer Community to promote the subscription to Warhammer+. We were also shown a video that gives a sneak peek at what (theoretically) will be the animations released on the platform. Of course, one might be more or less interested in the type of content offered by the subscription, and this article is not intended to promote the platform (even though I am a subscriber - Ed.). In all this, what particularly caught my attention is the final part of the video. Several members of the GW team stage this "gag" where they playfully take notes for future possible ideas, write them on a post-it, and stick them on a whiteboard. In the end, they look at each other, pleased, and say, "Yeah, let's do it!" I've seen several videos from content creators, including Valrak's , where they try to find a logical thread in the content of these post-its and connect them to rumors and speculations. It's clear that everyone un...

The highly anticipated (and content-rich) preview of Operation Hivestorm has finally aired. Twitch Preview Link: The Warhammer Preview Show: Operation Hivestorm   Article Link: The Warhammer Preview Show: Operation Hivestorm Now, let's carefully analyze all the news they provided. To make it easier to read, I'll summarize everything in lists so the article is as clear and structured as possible. Note : I will skip everything related to the setting lore to avoid overloading the reading. There will certainly be opportunities to address it later. GENERAL NEWS The new edition (confirmed to not be just a new season) will be previewed in September and released in October. the rules for ALL factions will be released for free on Day 1. Additionally, these documents will be "living," meaning they will be updated and/or modified over time if necessary. Kill Team - "Operation Hivestorm" Cinematic Trailer Analysis

Image
Finally, the day for the cinematic trailer of the next edition of Kill Team has arrived! Link to Article: Just What is Operation Hivestorm? Find Out in This Thrilling New Cinematic Trailer After watching it at least a dozen times, I think I'm ready to do a brief analysis of what we've seen. Of course, some of these are just speculations in anticipation of the of ficial review scheduled for tomorrow ! TEMPESTUS SCIONS The basic equipment expected for the Tempestus is definitely the Hot-shot Lasgun , but we managed to catch a glimpse of a few specialists: The leader seems to be equipped with a Hot-shot laspistol and Power Sword (but will probably also have the option to be armed with a Plasma Pistol and Chainsword). There will be an operative armed with two Hot-shot laspistols . We have a sniper with the Hot-shot marksman rifle . The small robot that is part of the team made an appearance, but we still don't know anything about it. The grav-chute in use seems to function sim...

Kill Team - Hivestorm rumors (Updated 08/12)

Image
An article on Warhammer Community on Friday (07/12) piqued my curiosity. Aside from the fact that I always enjoy reading the short stories they offer, the comments on the 40k Facebook page seem to suggest that almost everyone believes it's some kind of teaser for Kill Team. Link to the article: Chalnath Dispatches – At All Costs But let’s go in order. MAY 20 A video by Chapter Master Valrak was released on YouTube (for those who don’t know him, he’s the guy who always seems to have a rumor ready about anything related to 40k and beyond). In particular, he claims to have reliable information, complete with names and content, about the next Kill Team box. He also asserts that it could be the start of a new edition. For those who don’t want to watch the video, here’s a summary: The name of the box will be “Kill Team: Hivestorm” and its contents will be similar to Octarius/Into the Dark, meaning two teams, scenery, manuals, and various accessories. So, nothing like the Bheta-Decima stu...
